>> My name is Glenn Kaminsky. I'm an attorney. I work at the Department of Homeland Security in Washington. I work primarily on trade law. Laws that deal with importing and exporting in the sort of customs field. So, I interpret legislation. I work on regulatory changes in that area. I give counsel to the people making policy decisions about changes in those laws and procedures that deal with sort of importing and exporting of all sorts of stuff. Lately, some of the things we've been working on are ways to streamline the process of importing and exporting goods. So, to automate the processes for submitting forms and all the paperwork. And yeah, depending on what you're importing or exporting, there are a lot of different restrictions on it. There are many different government agencies that get involved. If you're talking about food or cars or all the different products, you have to sort of navigate this web of interconnected laws. So, as a lawyer, it's pretty interesting because you're always interpreting the intersection between these things. And one of the big goals is to streamline that and make it work better for companies that are dealing with those regulations. So, that's an example of one thing I've been working on. Lately, I've been working a little bit on Cuba. We've been changing our procedures for dealing with trade with Cuba. Because the current administration is looking to improve the relationship and move forward with that. So, we look at the kind of things that we can do, without getting congressional action. You know, it depends on what you can and can't do. So, you can have some creativity involved there. You're working with people who are making the decisions about what to target and how to improve things.
